BIG ADVANTAGE
(By "Not Out.") The advantage gained .by the New Zealand team on the first day of the present.match with Glamorgan is being , pressed home, and, weather permitting, little difficulty should be experienced in placing another win to the touring team's account. Clay, Lavis (referred to yesterday as E. Davies, who is apparently not playing), Mercer, and Ryan are the only remaining players to be dismissed, and.they should not.offer a great deal of opposition. One of the most pleasing features of ■ the New Zealand team's performances ■ of late has been the good form shown ■ by Blunt and Vivian, and it is now . gratifying also to find that Mills has ' come into his own again. Blunt and • Vivian have stepped in just as Croinb ' and Merritt have shown a loss of form, and it is well, for the team that some players; are able to show consistency^ New Zealand's next engagement will be with at Birmingham. The match is to commence to-morrow, and it is expected that it will give Dempster his first chance of getting . into form again after his .enforced soell.
