Severe lacerated wounds to the left forearm were sustained by B. H. Braeeficld, who lives at 301, Cuba street, when ho was struck by a pick while working at the relief works at Hataitai this morning. He was taken to the Hospital by_ the Citjr Ambulaaoe.
