HOSPITAL STILL IN THE LEAD
One of the surprises of Soccer championship matches on Saturday was tho defeat of Diamond by W. Y.M.I. In common with other gamos, this match was played in a high wind/ and there is no doubfthat the extraordinary conditions prevailing had a great deal to do with tho result. It was W.YJVLI.'s first win this season. Hospital and Petone won their games, and the position now in regard to the'championship is that Hospital have a lead of one point from Petone. Diamond, who have played one game less ■ than Hospital and'Petone, are four points behind the leading - team. The main attraction was the meeting of "Waterside and Marist, on* .the Basin Reserve. Again, tho smaller ground was in use, and it is significant that in this match eleven goals wore scored. Marist led at half-time, but Waterside piled on the goals in the second half, and won by tho odd goal.
