LOWER HUTT EFFORT
The industrial committee of the Lower Hutt distress organisation is now prepared at the depot in High street to sell, at very low rates, useful household articles iii largo variety. The committee is also prepared to take orders for any other articles. The whol© of the.labour has been given by unemployed ,men,, ..and some of the material has been donated, so that the greater part of the proceeds represents profit which goes into the general relief fund. ' ■ ■ ' . The fund will benefit to the extent ot £28-16s .from an Association Football Club dance held recently. In order that, all members of the committees shall be made aware of the work- that is being done, a general meeting of all interested in the relief of- distress, will be, held in the Council Chamber at 8 o'clock on Wednesday night.
