The Legislative Council met at 2,30 p.m.
The. Beprint of Statutes Bill was reported from the Statutes Revision Committoo .without amendment.
~• Moving tho committal of tho' Bill, the Leader of the Council (the Hon. Sir Thomas Sldey) said' it was proposed to set up an editorial committee, consisting of the Chief Justice, tho Attbrney-Goneral, and the Law Draughtsman. Sir Thomas said it would have been necessary to cither reprint or consolidate Uh.o .Statutes, and it 'was thought preferable''to reprint them. It was hoped to bring the Statutes up to date in a year's time, v.; * ; The Bight Hon.' Sir .Francis Bell said the public-would- appreciate what had been done by the Government.
