STEAMER'S EXPERIENCE
CYCLONE OFF SYDNEY

SYDNEY, This Day.
"Wo did everything but loop the loop," was how the Chief Engineer, Mr. Beece, described a nightmare experience on the steamer Stirrey, which reached Sydney yesterday aftor being tossed about in tho cyclone off the Heads since Monday in a vain effort to make port. Tho vessel encountered raging seas all the way from tho Cape of Good Hope, and a seaman was lost overboard during the voyage.
