MENTAL DEFECTIVES
STERILISATION BILL

LONDON, Bth July.
Bishop Barnes, of Birmingham, Mr. H. G. Wells, and' other notables, are supporting a private Bill which is being introduced by Major A. G. Church, M.P. (Labour), to permit the sterilisation of-mental defectives. The Bill provides that a doctor may perform the operation with the consent of the defective's relatives and the Board of Control. .
