PROBLEM OF SILVER
-BRITAIN AND CONFERENCE (British Official Wireless.) BUGBY, 7th July. . Questioned in the House of Commons with regard to the calling of an international conference on the stabilisation of tho value of silver, the .Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. P. Snowden, said that he had repeatedly stated that be did not think the British Government was in a position to take the initiative in this matter. He added in reply to a supplementary question that, if such a conference were held, he thought it was likely Great Britain would attend.
