THE EXTRA TESTS
DECISION APPLAUDED

Regarding the two extra Tests, Mr. A. T. Donnelly, chairman of tho New Zealand Cricket Council's Management Committee, says the New Zealand Council originally was offered one Test, which was gladly accepted. After the magnificent showing at Lord's, the offer of two more Tests again was readily accepted,' being regarded as a considerable compliment to New Zealand cricket.
The "Daily Telegraph ".says the acknowledgment of New Zealand's prowess implied in the decision to play further Tests will be heartily applauded. The Tests will be welcomed also because they will help in building up England's team against the redoubtable Australians, "our dearest foes." There will be pTODlems to be solved in batting as well as in bowling.
