Mr. W. B. Hicks presided over a meeting of the "Wellington Football Association held last evening. ' There were present: Messrs. J. J. Kean, G. Aers, J. M. Coleman, H. Power, C. B. Fittes, W. Fraser, H. Spolsky, and B. A. Mabin (secretary). A letter from' the New Zealand Council stated that the Canterbury Association had notified that it was impossible for a team to come to play for the Football Association's Trophy on 18th July. Otago had notified to the same effect. The only dates at present suitable were the Ist, Sth, and '22nd. On Ist August Canterbury were playing Westland, so the council was trying to arrange for the Otago challenge to be played first. Both Otago and Canterbury, wished to be notified of a later date suitable for the trophy game. A registered player of ..the Waterside. Club who played on two occasions for W.Y.M.I, when picked for the.Waterside Club was called upon'to appear before the association next Wednesday.
