ULIMAROA PUTS BACK
ENGINEER SENT OUT
About two hours after leaving the Queen's Wharf at 12.30 p.m. for Sydney, with passengers, cargo, and mails, the Huddart Parker Company's intercolonial steamer Ulimaroa was anchored iv. tho harbour, having turned back soon, after passing the Heads. It is believed that, , the steamer experienced engine trouble, and an engineer was sent out to board her at the anchorage, but at tho time of going to press tho local oftico of tho company had received no definite advico.
The Ulimaroa's schedule was altered to enable her to leavo Wellington." today instead of to-morrow iv order to enable her to go into dock at Sydney. Sho was duo to arrive thcro .next Monday, and was to sail on tho following Saturday—a day late—for Auckland. ■
