THE LATE SIR W. M'BEATH

Sir William George M'Bea'th, of Ma--kower, M'Beath, and Co., silknierehantsf Wellington, left personal property, Sii Victoria of a gross value 0f.£53,05&. He also left substantial estate in N^ Zealand. ' ■ ■ ■ ■>'

Sir William M'Beath appointed, ; ai executrix and executor, his wife, Lady, M'Beath, and his son, Mr. William George M'Beath, merchant, of To6rak, the right being reserved to the Union Trustees, Executors, arid Agency*' Go. to prove on the death of Mr. M'Beath otj on his ceasing to become an' executor. In his ■will Sir William M'B_eath_ made certain provision for his wife" in^ the event of the income f rotn-her., property1! not amounting to £5000 a'■ yearj but in the codicil lie set out- that he had consulted . with her and, as she' was sufficiently provided for, the ; provision under the will with respect to her/-was no longer necessary. The whole of-the residuary estate, and also'■all of-te,Sf tatorV shares in the -Banters'.- and Traders' Insurance Co., Ltd., are left to; Mr. W. G. M'Beath, testator's son. ■-."••

To each of his daughters, Miss Con* stance May M'Beath and Mrs. Annie* Elizabeth Williams, testator left £5000 S also the income on a certain number, of preference shares in Makower, M'Beath,and Co. Pty., Ltd. (Australia),', arid in. Makower, M'Beath, and Co., Ltd. (N,e\v Zealand). A bequest of £.500 each and. of the, income from certain shares is made to testator's sisters,. Mrs.. Ethel M'Kay, Mrs. Margaret. Frances Werrett, and Miss Lilian Crosbie M'Beath. Air annuity of £250 is :felt to a brother, of testator, Mr. David Francis M'Beath, and gifts of the income from. 1000 shares in the company, are' made, upon certain trusts, to two employees of; the company, Mr. William Jones ; and Mr. Walter Ewin.
