In the Empire billiards championship, L. W. Hayes defeated H. Goldsmith by 2000 to 1250. Hayes's best break was 127 unfinished.
Steeples established throe world's records in his match with tho Now Zealander Hnckett. He compiled an unfinished break of 461, a soasonal average of 111, and an average of 50 for the game. At Melbourne, Newman (receive 7000) has scored 22,463, including v break of 914, whilo Lindrum's total is 20,648, including breaks of 356 and 231.
