Sir Charles and Lady Statham and Miss Marjorie Statham, who have been spending a holiday at Botorua, have returned to Wellington.

Sir Heaton Ehodes, accompanied by his sister, Mrs. Willes, and Miss V. Hynes, will arrive in Wellington on Thursday next to attend the opening of Parliament.

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Ward, Horetataiga, returned to Wellington yesterday after a fortnight's visit to Auckland.

Mrs. H. A. Shepherd, of Hataitai, returned on Monday from Sydney by the Makura.

Misses Bertha ana Jessie Forties will arrive in Wellington to-morrow morning from Ohristckureh. Miss D. Allen, Christchnrch, who has been spending several weeks in Wellington, left for the South last evening.

Mrs. B. C. Butherford, who is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Derrett, Hororata, will return to Wellington this week.
