JOHNSONVILLE SALE.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report' on Johnsonville .sale held 16th June as follows: —In spite of the inclement weather we had a very large attendance of buyers-at to-days-sale, to whom we submitted a large yarding of all classes of stock:—Cattle: The cattle yarding comprised 223 head of prime quality; consisting mostly of medium weight bullocks. Prices, showed no alteration, on last week's rates, heavier ' weight cattle. if anything being slightly easier. Vealers were in good demand at late rates. Sheep: 1145 number.penned.- The^quality of the sheep was good, particularly prime ewes being offered. Prices were, slightly higher than last week's rates, but this was accounted for mainly by the • better quality. of the sheep. Lambs, which were- in short supply, met with a keen demand. ,We quote:—Bullocks, heavy, £10 ss, £10 2s 6d, £10, £9 los, £9 10s, £9 ss, 'to £9: bullocks, '£8 10s, '£8 7s 6d,: £8 ss, £8 2s 6d, to £7' las; bullocks, light, £7 2s Gd, £6 17s: 6d,, £6 15s, to £6; heifers, £5 17s (.;, £5 12s 6d, £5 ss, £4 15s, to £4 12s 6d; cows, heavy,. £6 ss, £6, £5 17s ,6d, £5-12s 6d,' to £5 10s;. cows, £4 17s 6d, £4 12s 6d, to £4; runners, £3 12s, £3 10s, £3 9s, to £2 10s; vealers, £2 4s, £2 2s, £2, £1 16sr£l 10s; £1 7s, £1 ss, to 12s; wethers, heavy; 'los 9d,'- 15s 6d, 15s 3d, to 15s; wethers, 14s 9d, 14s 6d, 14s, to 13s 7d; ewes,\ heavy, 13s, 12s 6d/ 12s, 11s 9d, 11s 6d, to 11s; ewes, 10s 6d, 10s 3d, to 9s 9d; lambs, heavy, 15s lOd, 15s 9d, 15s Bd, los 6d; to 14s 9d;.lambs, 14s to 13s 9d.
