THEFT FROM MAILBAG
DIAMONDS WORTH £53,000
NAMAQUALAND WORKINGS
CAPE TOWN, 21st May.
La it month's diamond production from rich workings named the Kloinze in Ntmtaqualand, valued at £53,000, was brought by an escort of police to Springbok on Tuesday.
It was registered .at the post office and motored to the railhead at Bitterfonfein—a village'of 30 residents. During the night the mailbag was cut and the diamonds'wore stolen.
