"Wong Deen, a Chinese lauiidryman, who appeared before Mr. E. Pago, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day on a charge of staying in New Zealand'1 after his temporary immigration permit had expired, was remanded for one week. Mr. I\ \V. Ongley, who "appeared for the accused and applied for the remand, said he would like time to see what arrangements could be made.
