SALE OF STOCK
AGENTS JOIN FORCES
further details of the arrangements made by a number of stock and station agents to join forces in the selling of stock between Taihape and Wellington, with a view to reducing expenditure, were given to the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Fanners' Union yesterday afternoon by Mr. \V. S. Bennett, of Dalgety and Co., Ltd. Mr. Bennett said that for many years the farming community had complained about the commission charged for the sale of stock. .The company which had been formed- would reduce tho charges from tho.startj.but lie could not say what the exact reductions would be. The work would be carried out at the minimum cost, and in a more efficient manner than hitherto. It would mean a certain amount of hardship on some of the employees, but the ".ompani.es could be relied upon to treat them quite liberally. i\[ ■
