OLD LADY'S EXPERIENCE

Setting out to visit friends, Mrs. E. J. England, an elderly lady, was walking across some paddocks at iSTcwlands about 8 o'clock on Saturday night, when sho fell into an open ditch, partly filled with water. Sho was unable to raise herself or get out, and with the water covering her body, she stayed in the ditch for fourteen hours. At 10 o'clock yesterday morning a passing cyclist heard some groans, and on investigation found Mrs. England in the ditch. - The City Ambulance took Mrs. England to the hospital, and she was admitted suffering severely from shock and exposure..'
