EIGHT MONTHS' GRADINGS

The director of the Dairy Division (Mr. W. M. Singleton) reports that on the grading returns for butter and cheese for the eight months of the current dairying season there has been an increase in butter fat production of 2.07 per cent, for the period when comparison is made with the corresponding months of the 1929-30 season. Gradings of cheese for March, last were 8962 tons, compared with 9814 tons for March, 1930, a decrease of 8.6S per cent.
