FOR BOYS' MATCHES

RUGBY UNION'S OFFER

It was announced at last evening's meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union that members, had inspected the ' new sports area at the show grounds and had found it too small to enable matches for which a charge for admission could be made to be played there. The opinion of the Management Committee was that the ground was only suitable for boys' matches, and in view of the shortage of grounds it was decided to apply for the use of the new ground at a rental of £10 10s a season for such games. The area of the ground was stated to be 90 yards by 70 yards.
