VARIOUS ACTIVITIES

A well-attended meeting presided over by Mr. Norman, was held by the residents of Ohiro Bay. Several schemes were decided on to help swell the Mayor's fund. Mr. Swadling was appointed secretary. Tho Boys' Institute committee and members are co-operating with the relief organisations, and accommodation ia offered for twelve boys. About 75 per cent, of those present wore railway workers and dependants, andthey passed1 a resolution to give a day's pay to the fund.
