(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Auckland won the fourth race for the Cornwell Cup this morning, beating Wellington by 3mins 4sec; with Lyttelton third. Auckland retains the cup. This morning's race was sailed in the lightest breeze of the' contest. The Auckland crew were keen at the start and had to return. The Christchurch boat carried a new sail, which was only ordered yesterday. The Wellington representative got the best start, and led for the earlier part of the race, with Otago and Lyttelton close up. On the beat to the weather mark, the Auckland skipper sailed with good judgment, keeping his boat going faster in the light breeze. The others were inclined to sail too. close to the wind. The Auckland boat took, the head here and was never headed. Th© finishing times were: Auckland, 12hr 38min 22sec; Wellington, 12hr 41 mm ■36sec; Lyttelton, 12hr 42min 45 sec; Otago, 12hr 43min 55see; Christchurch, 12hr 45min 47sec; Tauranga, 12hr 46min Bsec; 12hr 46 mm 24sec; Manukau, 12hr 50min 48 sec. ■ ' The Hamilton representative retired. Tho leading boats got a great reception at the finish.
