FINAL RACE IN LIGHT BREEZE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 26th January. Auckland has won two races and Otago ■one in the Cornwell Cup contest. Otago won the second race this morning by 52sec. Lyttelton was secondhand Wellington third, other boats in order being Auckland, Tauranga, Christehurch, Hamilton, Whangarei, and Manukau representatives. ' ■ . The third race, sailed this afternoon over a windward and leeward course, was won by Auckland by 2min lsec from Lyttelton, ywith Wellington third. Auckland' went into the lead from the start and led throughout. The crew sailed an excellent race, the boat going through, the water much faster than the others. Lyttelton threw out a strong challenge in the first round, but failed to weather Auckland. The race was really a procession, Lyttelton holding, second place, Wellington third, Otago fourth, and Christchurch fifth. The others were never prominent.
