Gladioli were the chief, attraction at the Northland Horticultural Society's Summer Show, which wag opened on Saturday by Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P. The champion bloom wa« exhibited by Messrs. Griffiths and Jenkins..'Sweet peas grown by Mr. G. S. Nicol, and pansies shown by Mr. .Corkhill, -were prominent in the exhibits. The prize list is as follows:— Pot PUntfc-JTrg.
