R.n'.—ja) Clanramild, bred, by the New Zealand Stud Company, was purchased as a yearling ' In 1891 for 160 guineas by, tho late Mr. G. <;.' Stead, and, as a two-year-old, he raced in Mr. Stead's colours. (b) Clanranald was sold by Mr. Stead to fllr. H. Lunn after liis two-year-old racinj! was completed, and lie did all the rest of Ills racing (till a six-year-old) in Mr. Lunn's livery. The lato Sir George Clifford bought him subsequently to replace. Stonyhurat at his stud, but he noTer raced him. • ' .
