FATAL COLLISION

CHRIST CHURCH, This Day.
As the result of a collision on the Jfcw 'Wainiakariki bridge last evening, George-H.-Garbntt, a chemist, of Kaiapoi, ivas killed. A motor-cycle ridden by Garbutt and a car driven by Leslie Norman M'lntosh collided. Garbutt and his motor-cycle were dragged several yards before the car stopped oa colliding with a taxi. Garbutt was dead ■when extricated. No one else was injured. Neither of the cars could be driven away wider its own power.
