RATIONING OF WORK
TEAMWAYMEN'S BALLOT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHBISTCHUBCH, 24th January. The Tramway Employees' Union decided to take a ballot this week among members to ascertain whether the majority favoured the rationing, of work, general shortening of hours, or no change from the existing hours or wages. The Tramway Board recently offered tho union a rationing scheme which was rejected, and fifteen men were dismissed. '
