The Governor-General (Lord Bledis« loe) and Lady Bledisloe were accorded: a most enthusiastic civic reception aC a very large gathering at the Church' steps to-day. Speeches of welcoma were made by the Mayor, Mr. W. J* Moffatt, and the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education and member fo«j Nelson.
