New. policies written by the National {Mutual Life Association of Australia, liimited, for the year ended 30th September, number 21,052 ,assuring £9,201,023, compared with, 20,078 new policies, assuring £9,868,350 issued in the previous year. Sew annual premiums on policies issued for the year are £355,253, compared with £379,097 for the preceding 12 months, md single premiums are £106,947, against [£338,637. Death claims total £770,214, egainst £815,861. Endowment assurances tnatured are £753,6*7, against £654,623, and endowments matured total £145,146, against £171,612. Total claims of £1,669,----007 compare with £1,642,096 for the preceding year. The total of premiums received is £3,244,476, compared with £3,----332,514, and interest and rents, after deducting rates and taxes of £155,843, amount to £1,739,401, against £1,608,615. Income of the association from all sources for the year is £4.983,877, compared with ! £4,941,130 for 1928-29.
