'PLANE AND CRUISER
MAN. TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
' (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post") AUCKLAND, This Day. Both the Fairey lII.P seaplane* which brought prompt medical assist* ance, and the cruiser Dunedin, played a part yesterday in aiding Trevor Wilson, a seaman who was injured at midday on Great Barrier Island and was brought to the Auckland Hospital. Wilson, who is 18 years of age, received severe injuries to his left arm and back through being caught in a winch when loading firewood on the scow Alma in Catherine Bay. The; owners, on being advised by telegraph' of the accident, arranged to send a doctor in a seaplane, while the naval base wirelessed the Dunedin (at manoeuvres in tlio Gulf) to steam to the bay. The warship got the injured, man to Auckland in the evening. Wilson is progressing satisfaetorilyy but it is likely that his hand will be amputated.
