■ (deceived 4th December, 10.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 3rd December. The Senate Agricultural Committee has been discussing the question of raising the wheat tariff now standing 42 cents. Such a move, while it might have a beneficial effect on the political • fortunes o£ the instigators, is considered by farm experts as probably unnecessary from an economic point of view.
