BUTTER MARKET FIRM
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following advice from its London house, dated 3rd December:—"Dairy Produce.— Butter, New Zealand choicest salted, 105s to 106s per cwt. Market firm. Cheese: White, 60s to 61s per cwt; coloured, 57s to 58s. Very weak." Messrs. Samuel Page and Son, London, reporting under date of 3rd December, advise Messrs. Dalgety and Co. as follows: "Butter: Market rather better. Danish, 128s to 130s; New Zealand finest salted, 100s to 106s; Australian finest unsaltcd, 108s to 112s; Australian finest salted, 98s to 102s; G.A.Q., 92s to 965. Cheese: Market- slow. New Zealand, white, 59s to 61s; New Zealand, coloured, 57s to 595; spot price for Canadian, white 72s to 78s; coloured, 72s to 78s. New Zealand butter is up 2b; New Zealand cheese down ss.
