BURGLARS INTRUDE
MR. RANSOM'S RESIDENCE
SAFE RESISTS ATTACK
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. During the absence of tho ActingPrime Minister (the Hon. E. A. Ransom) at his farm at Akitio, burglars paid a visit to his residence in Queen street, Dannevirke, and ransacked the place. Mr. Eansom is still at Akitio. When his daughter visited the place on Tuesday afternoon, she found that the house had been. Tansacked, drawers and cupboards opened in almost every room, and the contents disturbed. It is known that a little jewellery, two gold presentation keys, and some cigarettes are missing. The burglars made an unsuccessful attack on a safe in the study. i Entrance was gained by breaking a leadlight panel in a side door.
