RESCUE EFFECTED
TWO WOMEN IN CHINA
SHANGHAI, Ist December. Mongols rescued Mrs. If. D. Hayward, the American, and Miss E. Gomersal, the British nurse, who were captured by bandits near Paota-Chen. The officials have telegraphed for troops to disperse the bandits. The rescue party has reached Paota-Chen. The two women- were stripped and robbed during a journey made to secure medical aid for Mrs. Hayward, who is ill.
