CAMERAMAN V. PRODUCER
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) \ HAMILTON, 2nd December. Judgment for the plaintiff was en--tered in an action for £500 damages brought in the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day, before Sir Alexander Herdinan, by Edwin Coubray, cinema cameraman, against Alexander Marky, film, producer, managing director of the Marky Films, Ltd., New Zealand, for malicious persecution. ■ ; , The action, arose out of Marky's issuing a search warrant against the plaintiff and submitting his person and luggage to a search. Marky had entertained suspicions thaf. Coubray - was posting away some copies of film, tne property of Marky Kirns. His Honour held that the plaintiff had proved his case, but said the damages could only be nominal, as the plaintiff to some extent had precipitated the was awarded £10, with 20 guineas costs and disbursements.
