CROSSING FATALITY
FISHMONGER KILLED
TROUBLE WITH HIS .HORSE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., 2nd December. Struck by tho south-bound New Plymouth Express when passing over the Victoria street level crossing- in a cart, John Carian, aged 85, a fishmonger, was killed instantaneously. Tho body was carried over a hundred yards. The cart was smashed to pieces and stjrewn alcng the tra.ck. The horse escaped with a few cuts. The deceased, who was slightly deaf, experienced trouble with the horse at tho crossing. He feavos a widow and a family of seven. _______^^_
