MR. GARDEN IN THE SOUTH

ASIIBUBTON, This Day
A large gathering greeted Mr. Oscar Garden on his arrival at Ash burton, en route to the South, an official welcome being extended by the Mayor, the County Council chairman, and Mr. D. Jones, M.P. Mr. Garden was entertained at luncheon by the Aero Club.
The 'plane Kia Ora was escorted from Christchurch by five others. Mr. Garden left for Oamaru at 1.30 p.m., accompanied by Captain Haigh.
