GIRL SENT TO BORSTAL
Vov failing to comply with, the terms of her release on probation, Mary Hartley, ,-i waitress, aged 18, was sentenced.to three . .years' Borstal detention by Mr. E. Page, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day. The Magistrate said that in her report the. Probation Officer (Miss Simpson) had said that the girl had been sent to the Salvation Army home.' She had- not been observing the mica and regulations of the institution, and had been going out at night and staying out late- The girl was quite out of control.
