CRICKETERS INJURED
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "Tho Evening Post.") , PALMERSTON N., This Day. Two members of the Mauawatu Hawko Cup cricket team returning from their visit to Mastertou early on Sunday morning were injured when the car iv which they were riding turned over at AVhukarongo, loui- miles from home. Jack Pegden, who was driving, received a nasty cut on the neck, and Lloyd Fletcher suffered injuries to the thigh. Gallichau and Broughton, "who were iv the back scat, escaped with a few bruises. Opposite the cheese factory .-it AVhakavongo there arc two bad holes on the road at tlie edge of the macadam, aud it is surmised that these caused the car to swerve on to the grass. In being pulled on to the hant surface again the vehicle struck a. small bank and turned over. The windscreen and side windows were shattered, aud the pieces caused the injuries. On Sunday afternoon another car travelling from Palmcrston North to Dannevirke came to grief at the same spot, fortunately without much damage either to driver or car. i
