GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY
DR. MARSDEN'S INQUIRIES
Geophysical survey methods, which relate to subterranean investigations for th& discovery of oil and minerals, have been engaging the attention, of Dr. E. Marsden, head of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Eeseareh, during his official visit to England. Reference to the question is made in a communication received by the Mines Department from Dr. Marsden. Considerable activity in England concerning geophysical surveys is reported by Dr. Marsden. He states it is probable that the information ho was able to obtain at Home would be useful to the Dominion.. It is expected that this question will form one of the many of which Dr. Marsden 'will treat in more detail upon his return to New Zealand.
