BLACKWATER MINES.
The return of the Blackwater mines, Reefton, for October is as follows:— Crushed 3850 tons for a return ■of 1374 fine ounces gold valued at £5835, working expenses £5446. In addition, the furnace treated 116 tons of concentrates for a return of 124 fine ounces of gold valued at £526, working expenses , £ 132. Working profit is £783. Development expenditure £618, capital expenditure £62. Prolit over all is £103, but premium to be obtained on gold will increase this to £341.
