RT. REV. JOHN D. LANGLEY
MELBOURNE, 9th November. The death has occurred of the Right Eev. John D. Langley, a former Bishop of Bendigo, aged ninety-five. Bishop Langley was born at Ballyduff, Ireland, on 17th May, 1836, and arrived in Australia in 1853. He was' ordained in 1873, and was incumbent of Berrima and Mittagong from 1873 till 1875. In the latter year he was appointed rector of St. David's, Surry Hills, where he remained till 1882. He was rector of St. Philip's, Church Hill, from 1882 till 1906, and was appointed rural dean of West Sydney in 1885. Dr. Langley was appointed Bishop of Bendigo in 1907, and resigned the See in 1919. ■ •
