ME. SCULLIN IN LONDON
MOST VITAL THING OF ALL
LONDON, Bth November. While it seemed almost certain this morning that the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. J. Scullin, would sail for Australia by ( the first available ship, the position is now such that he feels he could probably work more effectively in London instead of on the high seas with a view to floating the loan with which the Commonwealth Government is determined to proceed on the lines suggested by Mr. Lyons. This belief is strengthened by Mr. Scullin's cryptic remark to-night:— I am certain the most vital thing my colleagues and I are at present concerned with is the successful flotation of . the loan maturing on, 15th December to enable Australia to honour its obligations.
