Cylinder was nearly twice as well supported as Spoon, with Gustav o a poor thnd favounte and High Gear piactically as well backed. Cylinders was an outstanding performance, and, for a threej'eai old, was second only to Commendation's in 1926 High Gear was tho only j one who could hang to him o\er the final I piece, but he found the pace too hot, and pave way at the end. Spoon's was a good Oaks tiial, and she will be a hard opponent for Lady Pam on Wednesday Gusta\o compounded in unexpected manner, but piobably was not quite at his best as a lesult of the swelling joint he had after the Tientham Sleeting, atid the lace found the weakness Staishootei was lost aftei being in the pictuie cailv, but his stablemate, Beau Geste, went his best lace for some time Lucky Light was left at the start.
