The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club completed the final match .in the first series of the championship ou Saturday at tlie Sommcrville Range, Trentham, at ranges 300 and 500 yards, ten shots at each range. The honours for top place ou the (lay was divided by Ron Telford and L. l!ellin"liain, who botli reached the limit 1W with their handicap. The best range score at 300 yards was made by A. htcwart with 47, Hunt and Peat being next with 40 apiece. At 500 yards A. Harris led the way with a very nice 48, and he. was closely followed by L. FellHighain, T. Goodall, and K. Tplford with 47 apiece. The first series was won by J. braavt, with an ag K re K ato of 384. H. T. Peat was second with 383, A. Stewart third %yith :iB2 and A. J. Shardlow, a iirst-year junior' fourth with 375. . Next Saturday the club, will fire their first match in the second series afc ranges 500 and 600 yards, 10 shots at each range. the scores.— ■ ■ : :
