KARORI RIFLE CLUB

Prominence is given iii the amvualreport of the Karori Defence Rifle Club to the success of members at the various rifle meetings held during the past season, particularly at the Wellington Rifle Association's fixture on Anniversary Day. On that occasion four matches went to the club, and H. V. Croxton won the championship and H. C. Boou the handicap aggregate. While it was not to be expected that th« phenomenal success which attended the club in 1929 would be repeated at th« N.R.A. meeting this year, some good performances were registered by individual members and teams. The club carried off the senior grade Union Shield for the seyenth successive year, and the junior shield was won for the first time since 1919. Members engaged in miniature rifle shooting were also successful. H. V. Croxton was New Zealand champion in 1929, and P. B. Goldfinch secured the title during the past season. Pour club champion^ ships are at present held by Karori members.
