'I'ln-ce Wellington riders competed— M. Gane, 1\ X. Robinson, and C. IMcsscm. Kobinsou. ivho started from the Smin mnrk, finished in thirteenth place, ahead of Grose, and his time for the distance ivas 4br 3amin 25sec—5min slower than that registered by Grose from scratch. Gave (4min) had a puncture and was thirty-sixth, and Ericsson (16min) waß the thirty-third rider to finish. . The winner, S. Weir, is a brother of W. K. Weir, a prominent cash rider. In last year's race he was eleventh. On one stretch of the journey, between Waddingtou and Kolleston, Grose's riding speed, with a nor'-wester behind him, was up to 32 miles an hour.
