WESTWARD FLIGHT
EUROPE TO AMERICA
NORTHERN ROUTE FEASIBLE
(Received 26th August, 2.30 p.m.)
HALIFAX, 25 th August,
Tho German airman yon Grouau and companions arrived hero at 3 p.m.. local time, and immediately started refuelling preparatory to resuming their flight to New York from Europe.
Canadian aviation authorities think that yon Gronaut's flight seems to prove conclusively the feasibility of the North Atlantic air route as one eventually to be adopted between Europe and America. A group of young English explorers are now in the Arctic gathering data with the intention or planning a route from Europe into Central Canada, probably at Winnipeg.
