EXPORTS £7,300,000 LOWER
Returns of the oversea trade of the Dominion as' supplied by courtesy of the Customs, show that for the month of July last exports were of the value of £3,384,----742, and imports £3,014,713, a balance of exports over imports, for the month only, of £370,029. However, the position as at 31st July, 1929, was: Exports, £2,----719,835; imports, £4,459,652. The returns for the seven months of the current year compared with those for the corresponding period of 1929, show a surplus of exports over imports of £7,553,177, whereas the balance to the credit of the Doriiinion for the first seven months of 1929 was £13,----494,281. The seven months' returns compare as follow:—' Exports. Imports. 1930 £33,165,433 £25,582,256 1929 £40,491,376 £26,997,095 The decrease in.. exports for the seven months, 1930, compared with the same period, 1929, is £7,325.943; decrease in imports for seven "mouths, 1930, is £),- ---414,839. ,
